Preset Tuning
For details on the buttons used in this section, see “Brief
descriptions of buttons used to r eceive br oadcasts” on
page 35.
Befor e tuning to pr eset stations, be sur e to pr eset them by
per for ming steps on “Pr esetting radio stations” below .
Presetting radio stations
1 Press TUNER.
The last r eceived station is tuned in.
2 Tune in the station that you want to preset using
Direct Tuning or Automatic Tuning (page 36).
3 Press MEMORY.
“MEMOR Y” appears in the display for a few seconds.
Do Steps 4 to 6 befor e “MEMOR Y” goes out.
4 Press SHIFT to select a memory page (A, B or C).
Each time you pr ess SHIFT, the letter “A”, “B” or “C”
appears in the display .
5 Select a preset number by pressing PRESET TUNING
+ or PRESET TUNING –.
If “MEMOR Y” goes out befor e you pr ess the pr eset
number , star t again fr om Step 3.
6 Press MEMORY again to store the station.
If “MEMOR Y” goes out befor e you can stor e the
station, star t again fr om Step 3.
7 Repeat Steps 2 to 6 to preset another station.
To change a preset number to another station
Do Steps 1 to 6 to pr eset the new station to the number .
Note
If the AC power cord is disconnected for about one week, all the
preset stations will be cleared from the receiver’s memory, and
you will have to preset the stations again.
Tuning to preset stations
You can tune the pr eset stations either of the following
two ways.
Scanning the preset stations
1 Press TUNER.
The last r eceived station is tuned in.
2 Press PRESET TUNING + or PRESET TUNING –
repeatedly to select the preset station you want.
Each time you pr ess the button, the r eceiver tunes in
one pr eset station at a time, in the cor responding or der
and dir ection as follows:
Using the preset codes
1 Press TUNER.
The last r eceived station is tuned in.
2 Press SHIFT to select a memory page (A, B or C),
then press the preset number of the station you
want using the numeric buttons on the supplied
remote.
