Check your graphics board manual for the correct monitor setting. Confirm your graphics mode and input signal frequency are supported. Adjust the computer’s refresh rate for the best picture.

      If there's no picture on your Sony Monitor, ensure the power cord is properly connected and the power switch is in the “on” position. Also, check that the video signal cable is correctly connected and firmly seated. Verify the INPUT switch setting is correct, the HD15 connector pins aren’t bent, and the computer’s power is on. Your computer might be in power saving mode, so press a key or move the mouse. Ensure the graphic board is properly seated. You can also try the Self-diagnosis function.

      The hum you hear right after turning on your Sony Monitor is the sound of the auto-degauss cycle. When the power is turned on, the monitor automatically degausses for a few seconds. If a second degauss cycle is needed, allow a minimum interval of 20 minutes for the best result. A humming noise may be heard, but this is not a malfunction.
