4.1 Orientation
The ILVA20 should be installed in a horizontal line. As it has been
calibrated in a horizontal attitude, mounting it in a vertical line
(flow downwards) may introduce a small flow measurement error.
If installation with flow vertically downwards is unavoidable, please
consult Spirax Sarco for advice. The flowmeter should not be installed
with flow vertically upwards (see Figure 8).
The MVT10 must be placed below the steam pipe
(minimum of 100 mm) to aid the filling of the impulse
hoses and ensure correct operation of the system.
Ensure that the impulse hoses do not become 'kinked'
or their route does not have sharp bends.
