Settings
In the Settings menu you can change the settings for how the
device behaves. You can also access information about the
device and get support for how to use it.
When you’re driving, most of the Settings menu is not
available for safety reasons. The only option available is
Microphone since you need to be able to make the device
start or stop listening to your requests.
Microphone
When the microphone is on, Car Thing is always listening for
you to say “Hey Spotify” and make a request.
If the microphone is turned off, the symbol indicating this is
shown at the top of the screen.
Note : Even when the microphone is off, you can get Car
Thing’s attention by pressing and holding the center of the
screen. Then make your request.
Turn microphone on/off
1. Go to Settings > Microphone .
2. Press the center of the screen.
You can also turn off the microphone by clicking the
microphone button on the back of the device.
Connect to car
Here you can see if Car Thing is connected to the car’s media
system. Car Thing can be connected to the car’s media
system via Bluetooth and aux.
Connect via aux
If you choose to connect to the car’s media system with aux
you use the aux cable to connect Car Thing to it.
