Press steam/rinsing button (Fig. 1/E).
Your machine is now ready for use.
The machine can operate with or without a lter.
By using a lter, the machine needs to be descaled less often because
the lter softens the water. The factory setting is “no lter”.
Empty the water tank (Fig. 3) and carefully screw the lter into
the recepticle in the water tank, using the integrated tool at the
end of the measuring spoon (Fig. 5).
Fill the tank with fresh water and insert into the appliance.
Press steam/rinsing button (Fig. 1/E) for more than three seconds
to go to main menu.

appears and one to four bars light up at the bottom of
the display indicating the water hardness level setting.
Press the coee cup button (Fig. 1/D) until symbol S6
appears,
so that the machine recognises that the lter has been installed.
Press steam/rinsing button (Fig. 1/E) to conrm your choice.

Place a suciently large bowl (minimum contents 0.5 litres)
under the steam/hot water spout/frothing device (Fig. 1/K) and
turn the steam/hot water control (Fig. 1/C) fully clockwise.

Wait until water has stopped dispensing from the steam/hot
water spout/frothing device.

Turn the steam/hot water control (Fig. 1/C) fully anti-clockwise.
Depending on the presets, one, two or three beans are shown on the
display. The machine is now ready for use.
The lter will be exhausted after approximately 50 litres of water has
been drawn (see chapter 4.1. How to change the lter).
