Press the strength/volume selector (Fig. 1/B).

ashes and symbol S12 is displayed.
Turn the steam/hot water control (Fig. 1/C) clockwise all the way.
The system is now being ushed.
Wait until no more water is dispensed from the jet and turn the
control (Fig. 1/C) back anti-clockwise to close.
The machine will heat up briey and is ready for use again.
If the machine requires cleaning, the display will show symbol S11 .
Switch the machine on.
Press the strength/volume selector (Fig. 1/B) for more than three
seconds to go to the maintenance menu.
Symbol S6
, S7 or S11 will be displayed.
Turn the strength/volume selector (Fig. 1/B) clockwise or
anti-clockwise until symbol S11
shows on the display.
Start the cleaning process by briey pressing the strength/
volume selector (Fig. 1/B).
Symbol S11
flashes and symbol S1 and symbol S2 are
displayed.
Remove the water tank (Fig. 3) and ll it to maximum. Reinsert
the water tank.
Remove the drip tray with used coffee grounds container (Figures
1/N and Q) and empty both.
Reinsert the drip tray and used coffee grounds container.
The machine starts cleaning. When finished, symbol S4
will be
displayed.
Place a suciently large bowl (about 0.5 litres) under the coee
spout.
Open the lid of coffee powder chute (Fig. 1/M).
Symbol S4
flashes to indicate that the cleaning tablet should be
inserted.
