8.1 Special Servicing Tools, Servicing Aids
– Socket, T27 – 0812 542 2104
– Assembly drift – 1122 893 7200
– Torque wrench – 5910 890 0302
– Screwdriver, T27x200 – 5910 890 2415
– Punch-down tool – 5910 890 4000
– Puller screw, blower wheel - supplied with
replacement blower wheel
– Press screw, blower wheel - supplied with
replacement blower wheel
– Combination wrench – 4180 890 3400
– STIHL Multispray – 0730 411 7000
– Loctite 242 (medium-strength threadlocking
adhesive) – 0786 111 2101
8.2 Removing the Outlet Cone
N Preparations, @ 2.4.
N Remove right handle housing, @ 6.2.
N Remove the blower tube, @ 6.3.
N Remove the blower, @ 6.4.
N Disengage the outlet cone (1) counterclockwise and
lift it away.
N Disassemble the blower, @ 8.4.
8.3 Installing the Outlet Cone
N Assemble the blower, @ 8.7.
N Push the yellow wire (7), blue wire (8) and red wire (9)
into the cable guides (arrows) in that order and hold
them in that position.
N Push the outlet cone (1) into the blower housing (4)
and turn it clockwise to lock in position. Make sure the
wires to the motor (3) are not pinched.
