3.1 Machine does not run or only hums
3 Troubleshooting
The following tables are intended to identify problems and remedy malfunctions. Always start troubleshooting at line 1 of
the table and work through the questions one by one.
Check the following Yes No
1. Battery - charged, properly installed,
not damaged?
Go to step 2. Charge / install properly / replace
battery
Go to step 9.
2. LEDs glow or flash red? Go to step 3. Go to step 7.
3. 3 LEDs flash red Fault in machine
Test battery with ADG 2, see @ 5
Go to step 7.
Go to step 4.
4. 4 LEDs flash red Malfunction in battery
Test battery with ADG 1, see @ 4
Go to step 9.
Go to step 5.
5. 3 LEDs glow continuously red: Power tool too hot
Allow machine to cool down.
Go to step 9.
Go to step 6.
6. 1 LED glows continuously red: Battery too hot / cold
Allow battery to cool down / warm up.
Go to step 9.
Go to step 2.
7. Machine damaged?
Dirty contacts in battery
compartment?
Replace damaged parts.
Clean contacts in battery
compartment.
Go to step 9.
Go to step 8.
8. Check electrical components for dam-
age and correct function with ADG 2 –
replace as necessary, see @ 5
Does power tool now operate?
Repair completed. Go to step 1.
9. Does power tool now operate? Repair completed. Go to step 1.
