Disassembling the right-hand
gearbox housing
: Lever the complete shaft (1) with
ball bearings upwards and out of
the gearbox housing.
The ball bearings (3) are bonded in

the right-hand gearbox housing.
: Lever the clutch drum (2) with
ball bearings (3) upwards and out
of the gearbox housing.
: Remove the shaft (1) and clutch
drum (2) from the gearbox
housing.
– Inspect the clutch drum (1). It
must not be scored or There
should be no scores or signs of
excessive wear.

If there are noticeable wear marks
on the inside diameter of the clutch
drum, check its wall thickness
thickness. If it is less than about
80% of the original thickness, fit a
new clutch drum.
When replacing the clutch drum,
also install new ball bearings.
: Use a standard puller to remove
the ball bearings (1) from the
clutch drum.

: To install the ball bearings (1) on
the clutch drum, heat the ball
bearings and push them on as far
as stop.

If the shaft (1) is stripped down,
install new ball bearings (2).

: Clamp the shaft in a vise.
Use protective jaws so as not to
damage good parts.
: Unscrew the nut (1).
: Remove the cup springs (2)
