Removing and installing shift
fork and driver
: Take out the screws (1).
: Remove the shift fork (2) with
retaining plate (3).

: Take the driver (1), spring (2),
ball (3) and O-ring (4) out of the
gearbox housing.
Install in the reverse sequence

: When fitting the driver, make sure
that its peg (arrow) points
upwards.

: Coat the shift fork guide (arrow)
with gear lubricant, b 11, before
installing the shift fork and
retaining plate.
: The driver’s peg must engage the
shift fork guide (arrow).

Assembling the left-hand
gearbox housing
Clean the sealing faces of the
gearbox housing with a standard
solvent-based degreasant
containing no chlorinated or
halogenated hydrocarbons

: Push the oil seal (2) onto the
shaft (1).
: Place the shaft (1) in the gearbox
housing.
: Make sure that ball bearings and
oil seal are corrected seated
(arrows).
: Check that output gear (1) is
located in the shift fork (2).
