-Closechokeshutter.
Presstabonfilterhousingback-
wards.
Removefiltercover.
-Cleanawayallloosedirtaround
airfilter.
Removefoamfilter(1)andfelt
filter(2).
-Washfoamfilterindry,non-flam-
mableliquid(e.g.warmsoapy
water)anddryit.
-Thefeltfiltermustbereplaced!
Itcanalsobecleanedbytapping
orblowing-itmustnotbe
washed.
Note:Damagedpartsmustbe
replacedimmediately.
Thepartsareinstalledinreverse
order.
-Placefoamfilterinfiltercover.
Placefeltfilter(withmarkingin-
sideandtaboutside)infilter
housing.
Thenoseonthefilterhousing
mustengageintheopeningin
thefiltercover.
Refertothemanual"Trouble-
shooting,standardrepairs"for
troubleshootingprocedures.
Important!Thetankventmust
alsobecheckedandcleaned-
see8.3-iffaultsdevelopinthe
carburetororfuelsupply.
Thecarburetorcanbetestedfor
leakswiththecarburetorand
crankcasetester11068502905.
