7.2 Installation work
The following requirements must be fullled to carry out installation work and preparatory work must be completed.
Preconditions
Tool Material Protective equipment
• Screwdriver - Phillip's head size
0.10 inch (2.5 mm)
• Additional installation and
operating instructions for
accessories used
• Sealing material such as PTFE strip
(EN 837-2)
• Protective gloves (liquid-
resistant)
• Safety glasses with side
protection (goggles)
• Hearing protection
• Class FFP 3 respirator
• Safety shoes
Preparatory work
1.
Remove the dust cap from the following threads:
• Inlet and outlet on the lter head
• Condensate drain on the lter base
2. Depressurize pipeline system or relevant pipe section.
3.
Observe the lter dimensions and ensure required space for installation.
See “6. Dimensions” on page 26.

Pipelines must be able to support the additional weight of the lter. Additional attachments should be
mounted if necessary.

Pipelines must be free from contamination and corrosion. Check pipe threads for damage. Defective pipes
must be replaced promptly.

Pipelines must be free from mechanical tension and vibration. Compensate for vibrations by using vibration
dampers.
7.
Only use ttings suitable for this pressure and temperature range. The pipeline threads must match those on
the lter head.
8.
Design the condensate drain such that no compressed condensate can escape into the area around the lter.
The drained condensate should be fed into a legally conforming preparation system
