2.3.7 Crowd Winch
SWDM240B rotary drilling rig is equipped with hydraulic winches, which provide
pressure and pulling force for the rotary head. The winch is installed on the drill mast 2, it
releases ropes by two ends. The crowd steel rope is fixed on the lower end of the drill mast after
going through the pulley on the bottom of the rotary head sliding frame. The rear end of the
pulling steel rope connects with the tension cylinder which on the upper section of the drill mast
through the upper pulley of the rotary head sliding frame. Rope winding method of the crowd
winch is as shown in FIG. 2-16.
