31.8 area - default-metric value
This command sets the default metric value for an area of type NSS/stub only.
area <area-id> default-metric <metric>
area-id - A 32 bit integer
Syntax Description
default-metric - Cost for the default summary route in a stub/NSS area

metric - 1
Example
SMIS(config-router)# area 1.1.1.1 default-metric 20
Default metric can be defined only for a valid area.
