4.2 Headers and Connectors
Fan Headers
There are six 4-pin fan headers (FAN1~FAN6 ) located on the front panel (see locations
below). All these 4-pin fan headers are backwards compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans.
However, fan speed control is available for 4-pin fans only through Thermal Management via

JTPM1/Port 80 Header
The JTPM1 header is used to connect a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)/Port 80, which
is available from Supermicro (optional). A TPM/Port 80 connector is a security device that
supports encryption and authentication in hard drives. It allows the motherboard to deny
access if the TPM associated with the hard drive is not installed in the system. For more
