3. Make sure the fuel hose is securely con-
nected to the fuel tank and the motor.
4. Move the tilt lock lever 2 to the “LOCK”
position.
5. Make sure that the motor is in “NEUTRAL”.
6. Make sure the lock plate is in place and the
emergency stop switch cord is fastened
securely to your wrist or an appropriate item
of clothing such as your belt.
NOTICE
When the motor is in gear, the recoil
starter cannot be operated and attempt-
ing to use it can damage the recoil
starter.
Make sure that the motor is in “NEU-
TRAL” before pulling the recoil starter
rope.
