REASSEMBlY
Reassemble and remount
the
caliper
in
the
reverse order of
re-
moval and disassembly, and also carry
out
the
following steps:
CAUTION:
* Wash
the
caliper components with fresh brake fluid before
reassembly.
* Never use cleaning solvent
or
gasoline
to
wash them.
* Apply brake fluid
to
the
caliper bore and piston
to
be insert-
ed into
the
bore.
* Bleed
the
air
after
reassembling
the
caliper (Refer
to
page
2-13).
Pull
out
the
cotter
pin
CD
and take off
the
pin
CID.
Remove
the
two
master cylinder mounting bolts.
Place a cloth underneath
the
union
bolt
on
the
master cylin-
der
to
catch spilled drops of brake fluid. Unscrew
the
union
bolt
and disconnect the brake hose from
the
master cylinder
joint.
CAUTION:
Immediately and completely wipe
off
any brake fluid contact-
ing
any
part
of
the
motorcycle. The fluid reacts chemically
with paint, plastics and rubber materials, etc. and will damage
them severely.
Disconnect
the
reservoir tank hose by loosening a clamp
screw.
Drain
the
fluid from
the
reservoir tank.
