MECHANICAL PARTS | PUSH ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 24
APR/2017 TECHNICAL OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE | NEXUS STATION
Push actuator assembly
The push actuator rests beneath the core assembly toward the back of the station. Controlled by a motor
and a rack-and-pinion gear, it moves up to slow down incoming carriers as they enter the station. It also
pushes outgoing carriers toward the station pipe on dispatch.
Nexus Station push actuator assembly
Coupler tube motor assembly (brake actuator)
The coupler tube assembly connects the valve pipe to the incoming pipe from the tube system. It contains a
motor and ribbon wrapped around the pipe that work together to slow the descent of carriers into the sta-
tion from the tube system.
