NEXUS STATION | TECHNICAL OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE APR/2017
71 CLEANING PROCEDURES | CLEAN BEHIND THE CORE-TURNSTILE ASSEMBLY
4 Clean the portions of the turnstile assembly that were not accessible with the turnstile in the station,
including the underside where the push-rod is mounted.
5 Finally, if the inner valve assembly appears to have been affected by the spill, you can remove the
protective cover and clean the valve assembly and slide plate cover.
The protective cover is attached with several Phillips screws positioned around the outside edge.
Loosen and remove them, and then lift the protective cover from the valve assembly. Clean all
exposed surfaces. The black rubber tube must have been removed before the cover can come off.
After you have thoroughly cleaned the station and core assembly, follow the instructions for rein-
stalling the core-turnstile assembly into the station and placing the station back into operation. See
“Core-turnstile assembly” on page 50.
If any electronic components appear to have been damaged as a result of a spill, the core assembly
and/or the electronic components may require replacement. Contact Swisslog Technical Support for
further information and support.
