Steps for determining the type of software corruption

The following are types of software corruption that
can happen on the appliance due to many factors:
■ Database corruption: A change you made is not
being displayed or nothing is being displayed
at all.
■ Catalog corruption: You lose the ability to
perform backups or restores or you are not
seeing images being backed up.
■ Operating system corruption: You are not able
to log in or you are not able to perform any of
NetBackup and NetBackup appliance
operations.
