• Do not reverse the water and/or gas connections as this will damage the gas
valves and can cause severe injury or death. Follow the diagram on p. 20 when

2. Properlygroundtheunit inaccordance withall localcodes or
intheabsenceoflocalcodes,with
the National Electrical Codes:ANSI/NFPA70 in the USA or CSA standard C22.1CanadaElectrical
CodePart1inCanada.
3. Carefullyplanwhereyouintendtoinstallthewaterheater.Pleaseensure:
• Yourwaterheaterwillhaveenoughcombustibleairand
properventilation.
• Locateyourheaterwherewaterleakagewillnotdamagesurroundingareas(pleaserefer
top.7).
4. ChecktheratingplateforthecorrectGASTYPE,GASPRESSURE,WATERPRESSUREandELECTRIC
RATING.
