(1) Heatexchanger
(2) An on‐demand recirculation system is a system that utilizes either a push‐button or other type of
manual activation (as opposed to automatic activation with a temperature sensor or timer) to
activatethecirculationpump.Anon‐demandrecirculationsystemcanuseeithertheexistingcold
waterlineasthereturnlineorhaveitsowndedicatedreturnline.
(3) LimitedLaborCoverage
z The manufacturerwill provideforreasonable laborchargesassociatedwithwarrantyrepairs
or replacements within one(1) year fromthe date of purchase.The manufacturer will only
paydirectlytotheservice
provider.
z Warranty service must be performed by an authorized Service Representative.A list of
authorizedServiceRepresentativesisavailableuponrequest.
z All warranty claims and warranty service must be authorized and approved by the
manufacturer.
(4) Includesdual‐purposeapplications(combinationheatinganddomestic).
4. Repair,ReplacementorRefund:
The manufacturer or its authorized Service Representative will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any
failed or defective mechanical or electrical parts, or components thereof, or, if the manufacturer or its
authorized Service Representative cannot replace said parts, and repair is not commercially practicable, the
manufactureroritsauthorized
ServiceRepresentativewillrefundthepurchaseprice.Themanufacturerorits
authorizedServiceRepresentativemay,atitssolediscretion,usenew,refurbishedorreconditionedparts.
5. LimitationonDurationofImpliedWarranties:
ANYIMPLIEDWARRANTIESARISINGUNDERSTATELAW,INCLUDINGTHEIMPLIEDWARRANTIESOFFITNESS
FORAPARTICULARPURPOSEANDMERCHANTABILITY,SHALLINNOEVENTEXTENDPASTTHEEXPIRATION
OFANYWARRANTYPERIODHEREUNDER.SOMESTATESDONOALLOWLIMITATIONSONHOWLONGAN
IMPLIEDWARRANTYLASTS,SOTHEABOVELIMITATIONMAY
NOTAPPLYTOYOU.
6. THISWARRANTYWILLNOTCOVERTHEFOLLOWING:
Anyproductthatisnotinstalledbyalicensedplumber,gasinstaller,orcontractor.
Damagesduetoaccidents,abuse,misuse,improperinstallation,misapplication,orincorrectsizing.
Damagesduetofires,flooding,freezing,electricalsurges,oranyActsofGod.
Damagesduetounauthorizedalterations,attachments,and/or
repairs.
Damagesduetoalackofmaintenance(e.g.waterfilter,watertreatmentsystem,ventblockage,etc.)
Any product installed in an improper environment (e.g. corrosive, dusty, chemically contaminated,
excessivelint,etc.).
Freeze damage that occurs without taking proper preventive measures asdescribed in the installation
manual.
Condensatedamageduetoimproperlyinstalledorlackofacondensatetrap(drain).
Any product not installed in compliance with all applicable local & state codes, ordinances, and good
tradepractices.
Anyproductsoldtoorinstalledinareasoutside of thefifty states (andtheDistrictof
Columbia)ofthe
UnitedStatesofAmericaandCanada.
Any product installed in applicationsthat cause the water heater to activate more than 300 times per
day(thisaveragestoanactivationevery5minutesina24‐hourperiod).
Any failures that are not due to defects
in materials or workmanship (mechanical and/or electrical
parts).
Damagesduetoimproperinstallation:
• Gas:incorrectgaspipesizing,incorrectgasmetersizing,incorrectgastype,and/orgaspressures
thatfalloutsidetheproduct’sspecifiedrange.
•
Water:incorrectwaterpipesizing,waterpressuresthatfalloutsidetheproduct’sspecifiedrange,
recirculationflowratesthatfalloutsidetheproduct’sspecifiedrange(airremoval),and/orlackof
propermethodsofairremovalinaclosed‐loop,circulationsystem(seeinstallationmanualfor
details).
•
Electric:supplypowervoltagesthatfalloutsidetheproduct’sspecifiedrange.
Damagesduetowaterquality:
• Introductionofliquidsotherthanpotablewaterorpotablewater/glycolmixturesintotheproduct.
• Introductionofpoolwater,spawater,oranychemicallytreatedwaterintotheproduct.
•
Introductionofhardwatermeasuringmorethan7grainspergallon(120ppm)forsinglefamily
domesticapplicationsormorethan4grainspergallon(70ppm)forallothertypesofapplications
intotheproduct.
