Acquisition
StartingandStoppinganAcquisition
After the channels that you want to acquire are selected, use the following procedure.
1. Press the front-panel RUN/STOP button
to start the acquisition.
2. Press the RUN/STOP button again to
stop the acquisition.
3. Totakeasingleacquisition, press the
Single button.
Selecting the Horizontal Mode
Your instr
ument has three horizontal modes. Automatic is the default mode. Select the horizontal mode that works best
for your test setup.
To set the horizontal mode, select Horiz/A cq
> Horizon
tal/Acquisition Setup to display
the horizontal control w indow. Choose one
of the modes described below.
In A utomatic mode you can set the Scale and
Sample R
ate. Record length is a dependent
variable. If changing the scale would cause
the record length to exceed the Record
Length
Limit, the sample rate is decreased
to the next available setting.
If the sampling m ode is real time and
the sa
mple rate is at the real time limit,
attempting to increase the sample rate has
no effect.
