Commands Listed in Alphabetical Order
HORizontal:M
AGnify<x>:SCAle
This command sets or queries the sca le (time per division) for the specied Mag
timebase. The Ma g timebase is specied by x, which can be 1 or 2. Sending
this command
is equivalent to selecting a Mag timebase and adjusting the Scale
control in the Timebase section of the Horizontal Setup dialog box (or adjusting
the Horizontal SCALE front-panel knob).
Channel waveforms display in the Mag timebases with the horizontal scale
set for the timebase. Each channel timebase, Main, Mag1, and Mag2, uses
its own horizontal scale. All channel waveforms in an individual timebase
share the timebase scale. The horizontal scale, together with the record length
setting, determines the sample interval. Main, Mag1, and Mag2 timebase scales,
positio
ns, and record lengths (resolution) are independent of one another;
however, acquisitions on Mag timebases must be totally contained within the
Main timebase.
Scale can be constrained by the record length. The minimum sample interval is
10 fs. Therefore, (10 X Horizontal Scale)¸ Record Length must be greater than
or equal to 10 fs. For example, if the record length is equal to 4000 samples, the
horizontal scale must be greater than or equal to 4 ps/div.

Arguments
NR3 is the horizontal time per division for the specied Mag timebase. The range
is 1 ps per division to 5 ms per division.
Examples
HORIZONTAL:MAG1:SCALE 2E–6 sets the MAG1 scale to 2 µ s per division.
HORIZONTAL:MAG2:SCALE? might return HORIZONTAL:MAGNIFY2:SCALE
2.00000000000E–009
, indicating that the Mag2 timebase is currently set to
2 ns per division.
HORizontal:MAGnify<x>:TOFPoint? (Query O nly)
This query only command returns time of rst point for the specied Mag
timebase, which is the time interval between the trigger point and the rst point in
