Tips:
You can skip Step 1 or Step 2 above by selecting Back.
To set the date and time later, go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Time and date > Set time/date.
To change the display language later, go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Languages.
5.3 Entering the PIN code
If a mini-SIM card is installed and it is secured, your phone will request the PIN (Personal Identication
Number) code. In this case, please use the keypad to enter the PIN code and select OK to conrm.
Notes:
- You have only 3 attempts to enter the PIN code every time you switch on your phone. Restarting
the phone will allow you to get another 3 attempts. If you enter the wrong PIN code 3 times in a
row, the mini-SIM card will be locked and can only be unlocked with the associated PUK (Personal
Unblocking Key) code.
- If the PUK code was not provided to you, please contact your mobile service provider. If you enter
the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, the mini-SIM card will be permanently locked and you will
lose all data stored in it.
To enable or disable the PIN code for the installed mini-SIM card, go to Menu > Settings > Security
settings > SIM security > PIN lock, select On or O, enter the PIN code using the keypad, and
select OK.
To change the PIN code for the installed mini-SIM card, make sure you have enabled the PIN code,
then go to Menu > Settings > Security settings > SIM security > Change PIN, select OK, enter
the current PIN code and a new PIN code (4 to 8 digits long) using the keypad, and select OK.
6. USEFUL TIPS
6.1 General tips
To open the Menu, press or OK from the home screen. After opening the Menu, press any
of the navigation keys to select dierent menu items (Phonebook, Messages, Settings, etc.).
To navigate up or down, press or . To navigate left or right, press or .
To access the options available to the current function, press .
To confirm a choice, press OK.
To go back or cancel the current operation, press .
Press to instantly return to the home screen.
From the home screen, press and hold to toggle between your last used and the silent ring
modes.
The default password for the phone lock is “0000”.
6.2 Changing the display
To change the wallpaper for the home screen, go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Display >
Wallpapers and select a picture from the system or the installed microSD card.
To adjust the screen brightness, go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Display > LCD backlight
> Brightness, select a desired brightness by pressing or and select OK. Note: The higher
the brightness, the shorter the battery life.
To set the length of time before the screen automatically turns off, go to Menu > Settings >
Phone > Display > LCD backlight > Time (sec), select a desired time by pressing or and
select OK. Note: The longer this time, the shorter the battery life.
