8.5 Deleting a contact
To delete a contact, follow the steps below:
1. Press or to highlight the contact in the contact list.
2. Press and select Delete.
3. Press or OK to confirm the deletion.
8.6 Photo contacts
A photo contact is a special type of contact. You can assign a picture and a ringtone to a photo
contact in addition to a name and a phone number. Your phone always shows each contact's picture
when you view the photo contact list. You phone allows you to create up to 8 photo contacts.
Note: Photo contacts are stored separately from the contact list. You cannot search for them. Any
operation such as Delete all contacts you perform on the contact list will not aect photo contacts.
To create a photo contact, follow the steps below:
1. Go to Menu > Phonebook > Photo contact, then press OK to conrm.
2. Press or to select an empty contact and press . Tip: An empty contact uses the default
contact picture and is named Empty.

On the Edit screen, enter the contact's name and phone number. Also, assign a picture and a
ringtone to the contact to more easily distinguish them.
- Press or to move from one input field to another.
- To assign a picture, select Caller picture, press OK, select From camera or From file, and
take a picture with the camera or select a picture file from the microSD card. Tip: The assigned
picture will appear on the screen when you call or are called by the associated contact.
- To assign a ringtone provided by your phone, select Caller ringtone, press OK, then press
or to select a ringtone.
- To assign an audio file stored on the microSD card as the ringtone, select Caller ringtone,
press OK, press or to select Select from file, and select an audio file from the microSD
card.
4. Press and select Save to save the contact.
Tip: To save a photo contact, you must enter at least a name or phone number on the Edit screen.
To access photo contacts, use either of the following methods:
- Press from the home screen, then press or to scroll through the photo contact list. If
you choose this method, the only operation you can perform is to press a number key (1-8) to
call the associated contact.
- Go to Menu > Phonebook > Photo contact, press OK to conrm, then press or to scroll
through the photo contact list. If you choose this method, you can press or OK and choose
to send SMS to, call, edit or delete the displayed contact that is not empty. You can also press
to directly call this contact.
8.7 Contact list settings
To view the contact list settings that are available, select any existing contact, then press and
select Phonebook settings.
The following settings are available:

Choose to use the SIM card, the Phone memory, or Both to save new contacts.
The default choice is Both.
