Notes:
- By default, if you press or to exit FM Radio while the radio is on, the radio will remain on
in the background. To turn o the radio, you must press OK on the FM Radio home screen. If you
don't want the radio to remain on in the background, go to Options > Settings > Background
play and select O.
- FM Radio will show you the radio station you last listened to when you reopen it later.
Note: The quality of the radio depends on the coverage of the radio station in that particular area.
Changing the orientation of the handset may improve the reception.
15. SETTINGS
You can congure your phone's various settings and learn more about your phone with the
Settings app.
To open the Settings app, go to Menu > Settings.
After opening the Settings app, press or to access different categories of settings
(Profiles, Phone, Network settings, etc.).
15.1 Proles
A prole determines the ringtone, keytone, volume and vibration for your phone. The active prole
is indicated by a tick in front of its name. Tip: You can quickly open the Proles home screen by
pressing from the home screen.
Your phone provides the following 4 proles for you to choose from.
General: This profile is suitable for most occasions. When you receive a call or message, or
your alarm rings, your phone will ring and vibrate. The default ringtone volume, message volume
and keytone volume are all at the highest levels (7).
Silent: Choose this profile to minimize the noise created by your phone. The default ringtone
volume, message volume and keytone volume are all at the lowest levels (0). Also, your phone
will not vibrate by default.
Meeting: This profile is intended for meetings. The default ringtone volume, message volume
and keytone volume are 2, 2 and 7 respectively. Also, your phone will vibrate only by default.
Outdoor: This profile is intended for outdoor activities. The default ringtone volume, message
volume and keytone volume are all at the highest levels (7).
Note: If your phone's Silent profile is active, all alarms that you have turned on will still sound,
but the alarm for all event reminders will not sound, though the event reminders will appear on the
screen as usual.
Changing your profiles
Use either of the following methods to change your prole:
- From the Proles home screen, press or to highlight the desired prole and press OK.
- From the home screen, press and hold to toggle between your last used and Silent proles.
Customizing your profiles
You can customize any of the 4 proles provided by your phone to suit your needs.
To customize a prole, follow the steps below:
1. From the Proles home screen, press or to highlight a prole and press . Your phone
will display all the settings for this profile and allow you to change any of them.
2. To change a setting, press or to highlight it, press OK or select Options > Change, select
a different value for the setting and press OK. The following settings are available:
- Alert type: An alert type defines whether your phone will ring or vibrate and the order of the
ring and vibration when someone calls you, the alarm for event reminders goes off, etc. Press
