Tips:
- Your phone always lists your contacts alphabetically by name.
- On the contact list, you can nd out where your contacts are stored by looking at the symbols
beside the contact names. The SIM card and phone symbols denote contacts are stored on the
SIM card and phone memory respectively.
- When the contact list is not empty, press or to highlight an existing contact.
- If the highlighted contact has a phone number, a preview of the number appears immediately
below or above the contact name.
- Press OK to view the highlighted contact's details.
- Press to view the available options for the highlighted contact.
8.2 Adding a contact
To add a contact, follow the steps below:

Select Add new contact at the top of the contact list, then press OK to conrm. Alternatively,
select a phone number in the call history or dial a phone number from the home screen, press
and select Save to Phonebook, then press OK to conrm.
2. Select either To SIM or To Phone to specify the location for storing the new contact, then press
OK to conrm.

On the New contact screen, enter the contact's name and phone number. If you chose To Phone
in the previous step, you can also assign a picture and a ringtone to the contact.
- Press or to move from one input field to another.
- To assign a picture, select Caller picture, press or to select From camera or From file,
press and select From camera or From file again, and take a picture with the camera or
select a picture file from the microSD card. Notes: The resolution of the assigned picture must
not exceed 240x320 pixels. Otherwise, you will see an error message saying "File not found" or
"Unsupported resolution". The assigned picture will appear on the screen when you call or are
called by the associated contact.
- To assign a ringtone provided by your phone, select Caller ringtone, then press or to
select a ringtone.
- To assign an audio file stored on the microSD card as the ringtone, select Caller ringtone,
press or to select From file, press and select From file again, and select an audio file
from the microSD card.
4. Press and select Save to save the contact.
Tip: To save a contact, you must enter at least a name or phone number on the New contact screen.
8.3 Searching for a contact
To search for a contact, follow the steps below:
1.
From the contact list, enter a keyword using the keypad. The keyword is case-insensitive and must
be a contact's name or the starting part of the name. If there are one or more contacts whose
names match the keyword, they will appear above the keyword input field. If no contact was found
with the keyword, your phone displays "Empty" in the centre of the screen.
2. If one or more contacts were found, press or to highlight a contact in the list and press OK
to view the contact's details.
8.4 Editing a contact
To edit a contact, follow the steps below:
1. Press or to highlight the contact in the contact list.
2. Press OK to view the contact's details.
3. Press and select Edit.
4. Make changes to the contact's details. To learn how to make changes, see Step 3 in "8.2 Adding
a contact" on page 10.
