Error Tone. What you hear when
you make a mistake in dialing
(i.e. time-out occurs, the dialed
extension number is nonexistent,
or you have accessed a
disallowed feature).
Hold Tone. What you hear
(instead of music) when your
phone has been placed on
hold.
Queue Prompt Tone. What you
hear when you reach an all-
trunks busy condition and you
are allowed to enter On-Hook
Queuing.
Off-Hook Queue Tone. What you
hear when you reach an all-
trunks busy condition and you
are allowed to enter Off-Hook
Queuing.
Paging Beep. What you hear
just before the system allows
your page announcement. After
the beep, you hear no tone
(silence) so you can page.
Extension Security Tone. What
the party trying to dial into a
secure phone hears.
Message Waiting Tone. What
you hear if you initiate dialing
when you have a message
waiting.
