BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
CHECK
TRANSMISSION
OIL LEVEL
Location: Dipstick (B)
To Check: Level the machine.
Place the transmission control in neutral.
Set the parking brake.
The engine must be running to check.
Bring the transmission oil temperature to a
minimum
of
180 degrees
F.
Remove the dipstick. The oil level should
be
between the add and full marks.
Replace the dipstick.
NOTE: Refer to
page
5-24
of
this manual for the proper oil
specifications and capacities.
LLWARNING
Serious personal injury can result from a loose or damaged fan.
Never pry
on
a fan because this may cause fan damage and/or
failure.
CHECKENGINE FAN
To
Check: Visually inspect the cooling fan (C) for cracks,
loose bolts, bent or loose blades etc.
