2.2 Connect to the Internet via SpeedTouch™’s
embedded PPP client.
Introduction The SpeedTouch™ supports both two most popular connection methods: Routed PPP
over ATM (PPPoA) and PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE).
The connection method to use depends on the preferences of your ISP, hence the
configuration profile you must apply to the SpeedTouch™.
Note To use the embedded Routed PPPoA (PPPoE) dial-in client, the Speed-
Touch™ needs to be configured for Routed PPPoA (PPPoE) via the Speed-
Touch™ Setup wizard or the embedded Easy Setup wizard.
