Introduction for Software Panel
This chapter gives an Introduction for the parameters and settings accessed from the software running on a PC.
3.3.1 Introduction for GUI Panel
The following screen shot shows the graphical user interface (GUI) displayed when accessing the controller using
the Kinesis software.

Device Information – Shows the serial number and firmware version of PDXC2.
Position window - shows the position (in steps, millimeters, or degrees) of the motor. The motor must be
'Homed' before the display will show a meaningful value, (i.e. the displayed position is relative to a physical
datum, the limit switch).
Set Move - Opens the settings window, so that position data can be entered. Moves are performed using the
velocity parameters which can be changed in the setting panel.
Base Information Display – Shows the type, serial number, and the jog step parameters of the stage.
Operation Mode – Select the operation mode by clicking on the corresponding item.
