Raster Scan Operation
The user may want two stages to move in conjunction with each other, not just moving at the same time. An
example of an operation where signals trigger each other and the stages move one after another, called a
“Raster Scan,” is described below.
3.5.1 Physical Connections

As illustrated in the block diagram above, signal Trigger In of Device 1 should be connected with signal Trigger
Out of Device 2, and signal Trigger Out of Device 1 should be connected with signal Trigger In of Device 2. Do not
forget the ground connection between the two devices.
3.5.2 Operation of Scan
Connect devices to the PC and open two different instances of the software GUI, and then configure the external
trigging mode of the two devices to “Manual”.
