Why Topcon TP-L5 laser beam does not emit?

  The laser beam might not be emitting due to several reasons: * The battery level could be low. In this case, recharge or replace the batteries. * There might be an improper connection to an external power source. Ensure the connection is secure and attached to the correct terminals. * The laser might be turned off via the remote controller. Push the laser ON/OFF switch on the remote controller to turn it on.

  A slowly blinking charging lamp on the internal battery BT-53Q when connected to a DC-12V external battery indicates a potential issue: * The charging temperature may be out of range. Recharging should occur between 10 to 35°C (50 to 95°F). * The battery BT-53Q may be completely discharged. Continue charging for 30 minutes. If the lamp changes to red, the battery is normal. If it continues blinking green, the battery is faulty and needs replacement. Always dispose of old batteries properly.

Reposition the instrument until the level warning indicator disappears. * The battery level may be low. Recharge or replace the batteries.

  If the grade setting value and the measured grade value are not equal, consider these possibilities: * An incorrect grade value may have been entered. Confirm the input value (‰ or %) and reset it. * The bubble on the bubble tube display of the instrument or the bubble on the target was not adjusted correctly. Adjust the laser and/or target so the bubble is centered. * The laser beam is refracted due to temperature differences within the pipe. When the pipe is laid, the trench must be backfilled immediately to help maintain temperature stability. Use a blower (commercially-available) to move air through the pipe to keep temperature.

  An unstable laser beam could be caused by: * Refraction due to temperature differences within the pipe. When the pipe is laid, the trench must be backfilled immediately to help maintain temperature stability. * Refraction and reflection due to fog and/or mist. Use a blower to move air through the pipe to blend the air and remove mist or fog. You can also cover the pipe to prevent heat build up inside the pipe or clear the mist or fog.
