beushed.Contaminateduidlooksmilkyorblack
whencomparedtocleanoil.
Important:Useofanyotherltermayvoidthewarranty
onsomecomponents.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Openthefronthood.
3.Raisethemachineusingproperequipment.
WARNING
Raisingtherearoftheunitrelyingsolely
onmechanicalorhydraulicjackscouldbe
dangerous.Themechanicalorhydraulic
jacksmaynotbeenoughsupportormay
malfunctionallowingtheunittofall,which
couldcauseinjuryordeath.
Do not relysolelyonmechanicalorhydraulic
jacksforsupport.
Useadequatejackstandsorequivalent
support.
4.Placealargedrainingcontainerunderthehydraulic
uidtank.
5.Removethedrainplugfromthebottomofthetank.
6.Cleanthethreadsonthedrainplugandapply3layers
ofPTFEsealingtape.
7.Drainthehydraulicuidowintothecontainer.
Important:Thecapacityofthehydraulic-uid
tankis102L(27USgallons),soensurethatyou
haveacontainerofatleast114L(30USgallons)
todraintheuidinto.
8.Installthedrainplugwhenthehydraulicuidstops
draining.
9.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingareas.
10.Placeadrainpanunderthelterandremovethelter
(Figure109).
11.Lubricatetheltergasketofeachnewlterandll
themwithhydraulicuid.
12.Ensurethattheltermountingareasareclean.
13.Screwtheltersonuntilthegasketscontactsthe
mountingplates;thentightenthelteranadditional
1/2turn.
14.Fillthereservoirwithhydraulicuid.
Important:Useonlythehydraulicuids
specied.Otheruidscouldcausesystem
damage.
15.Installthereservoircap.Starttheengineanduseall
ofthehydrauliccontrolstodistributehydraulicuid
throughoutthesystem.Alsocheckforleaks;thenstop
theengine.
16.Checktheuidlevelandaddenoughtoraiselevelthe
leveltotheFullmarkonthedipstick.Donotoverll.
