13.Check position of wires, fuel lines and hydraulic
hoses for proper clearance with rotating, high tempera-
ture and moving components.
14.Connect positive battery cable to battery first and
then negative battery cable. Secure battery cover to ma-
chine.
15.Check and adjust engine oil level as needed.
16.Check a nd adjust hydraulic reservoir oil level as
needed.
17.Prime the fuel system (see Fuel System in this sec-
tion).
18.Start engine and operate hydraulic controls to prop -
erly fill hydraulic system (see Charge Hydraulic System
in the Service and Repairs section of Chapter 4 -- Hy-
draulic Systems).
19.Install hood onto the m achine (see Hood Installation
in the Service and Repairs section of Chapter 7 -- Chas-
sis). Close and secure hood.
