Iteliminatesgum-likevarnishbuildupinthefuel
system,whichcauseshardstarting
Important:Donotusefueladditivescontaining
methanolorethanol.
Addthecorrectamountofgasstabilizer/conditioner
tothegasoline.
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismosteffective
whenmixedwithfreshgasoline.Tominimizethe
chanceofvarnishdepositsinthefuelsystem,useafuel
stabilizer/conditioneratalltimes.
FillingtheFuelTank
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
2.Cleanaroundthefueltankcapandremoveit.
3.Addunleadedregulargasolinetothefueltankuntil
thelevelis1/4to1/2inch(6to13mm)below
thebottomofthellerneck.Donotllthefuel
tankcompletelyfull.Donotllthefueltank
completelyfull.
Note:Thisspaceinthetankallowsgasolineto
expand.
4.Installthefueltankcapsecurely.
5.Wipeupanygasolinethatmayhavespilled.
CheckingtheEngineOilLevel
Beforeyoustarttheengineandusethemachine,check
theoillevelintheenginecrankcase;refertoChecking
theEngineOilLevelinServicingtheEngineOilinthe
Maintenancesection.
UsingtheParkingBrake
Alwayssettheparkingbrakewheneveryoustopthe
machineorleaveitunattended.
SettingtheParkingBrake
1.Pushthebrakepedal(Figure3)downandholdit.
2.Turntheparkingbrakelever(Figure3)
counterclockwiseandgraduallytakeyourfootoff
thebrakepedal.
Note:Theclutch/brakepedalshouldstayinthe
depressed(locked)position.
ReleasingtheParkingBrake
1.Pushdownonthebrakepedal(Figure3).
Note:Theparkingbrakelevershouldrelease.
2.Graduallyreleasethebrakepedal.
PositioningtheSeat
Theseatcanmoveforwardandbackward.Positionthe
seatwhereyouhavethebestcontrolofthemachine
andaremostcomfortable.
1.Raisetheseatandloosentheadjustmentknobs
(Figure4).
