DrainingtheFuelTank
Drainthefueltankwhenyouwillnotbeusingthe
machineformorethan30days.
Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromgasolinecanburnyouand
othersandcandamageproperty.
•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachinesothattheleftfrontsideisslightly
lowerthantherightsidetoensurethatthefueltank
drainscompletely.
2.Disengagetheblades(PTO).
3.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
5.Removetheignitionkey.
6.Closethefuelshut-offvalvelocatedunderthefront
ofthefueltank.
7.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure26).

lterafterithasbeenremovedfromthefuelline.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagetheblades(PTO).
3.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
5.Removetheignitionkey.
6.Closethefuelshut-offvalve(Figure27).
