BatteryIndicatorLight

positionforafewseconds,thebatteryvoltagewillbe
displayedintheareawherethehoursarenormally
displayed.
Thebatterylightturnsonwhentheignitionisturned
onandwhenthechargeisbelowthecorrectoperating

(PTO)downormoveamotion-controlleverintothe
neutrallockposition.
IgnitionSwitch
Thisswitchisusedtostartthemowerengineandhas
threepositions:Start,RunandOff.
Motion-ControlLevers
Themotion-controlleversareusedtodrivethe
machineforward,reverse,andturneitherdirection.
Neutral-LockPosition
Theneutral-lockpositionisusedwiththe
safety-interlocksystemandtodeterminetheneutral
position.
Fuel-ShutoffValve
Closethefuel-shutoffvalve(undertheseat)when
transportingorstoringthemower.
ElectronicControlUnit
MalfunctionIndicatorLight
Theelectroniccontrolunit(ECU)continuously
monitorstheoperationoftheEFIsystem.
Ifthesystemdetectsaproblemorfault,the
malfunctionindicatorlight(MIL)illuminates.
TheMIListheredlightlocatedintherightconsole
panel.
IftheMILilluminates,performtheinitial
troubleshootingchecks;refertotheMILsectionin
Troubleshooting(page72).
Ifthesechecksdonotcorrecttheproblem,further
diagnosisandservicingbyanAuthorizedService
