Donotfuelorruntheengineunlessspark
arresterisinstalled.
1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,
andremovekey.Engageparkingbrake.
2.Waitformufertocool.
3.Ifanybreaksinthescreenorweldsare
observed,replacethearrester.
4.Ifpluggingofthescreenisobserved,remove
thearresterandshakelooseparticlesoutof
thearresterandcleanscreenwithawirebrush
(soakinsolventifnecessary).Reinstallarrester
onexhaustoutlet.

WARNING
Fuelsystemcomponentsareunderhigh
pressure.Theuseofimpropercomponents
canresultinsystemfailure,gasolineleakage,
andpossibleexplosion.
Useonlyapprovedfuellinesandfuellters.
ServicingtheElectronic
FuelInjectionSystem
Thismachinecontainsanelectronicfuelinjection
system.Itcontrolsthefuelowunderdifferent
operatingconditions.
Theelectroniccontrolunit(ECU)continuously
monitorstheoperationoftheEFIsystem.
Ifaproblemorfaultwithinthesystemisdetected,the
malfunctionindicatorlight(MIL)isilluminated.The
MIListheredlightlocatedintherightconsolepanel.
OncetheMILilluminates,initialtroubleshooting
checksshouldbemade.RefertotheMILsection
underTroubleshooting.
Ifthesechecksdonotcorrecttheproblem,further
diagnosisandservicingbyanAuthorizedService
Dealerisnecessary.
Replacingthe
Low-PressureFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours/Yearly(whichever
comesrst)(moreoftenindirtyor
dustyconditions).
Thefuellterislocatedneartheengineonthefront
orrearsideoftheengine.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-control
leverstotheneutral-lockedposition,andsetthe
parkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
4.Closethefuel-shutoffvalveundertheseat
(Figure60).
