Transportingthe
Lithium-IonBatteries
TheUSDepartmentofTransportationand
internationaltransportationauthoritiesrequirethat
lithium-ionbatteriesbetransportedusingspecial
packagingandonlybetransportedbycarrierscertied
tohaulthem.IntheUS,youareallowedtotransport
abatterywhenitisinstalledonthemachineas
batterypoweredequipment,withsomeregulatory
requirements.ContacttheUSDepartmentof
Transportationortheappropriategovernmentbodyin
yourcountryfordetailedregulationsontransportation
ofyourbatteriesorthemachinewiththebatteries
equipped.
Fordetailedinformationonshippingabattery,contact
yourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
ChargingtheBatteries
DANGER
Contactwithwaterwhilechargingthe
machinecouldcauseelectricshock,causing
injuryordeath.
Donothandletheplugorthechargerwith
wethandsorwhilestandinginwater.
Donotchargethebatteriesintherainorin
wetconditions.
Toreducetheriskofelectricshock,thischargerhasa
3-pronggroundedplug(typeB).Iftheplugdoesnot
tintothewallreceptacle,othergroundedplugtypes
areavailable;contactanAuthorizedServiceDealer.
Donotchangethechargerorthepower-supply-cord
pluginanyway.
Important:Checkthepowersupplycord
periodicallyforholesorcracksintheinsulation.
Donotuseadamagedcord.Donotrunthecord
throughstandingwaterorwetgrass.
Recommendedtemperaturerangeforcharging:
to55°C(32°to131°F)
Important:Chargethebatteriesonlyin
temperaturesthatarewithintherecommended
range.
Note:Thechargerwillnotfunctionintemperatures
exceedingtheminimumormaximumtemperatures.
1.Parkthemachineinthedesignatedlocationfor
charging.
2.Shutoffthemachineandremovethekey.
3.Ensurethatthebattery-disconnectswitchisin
theONposition.
4.Plugthechargercordintothemachine.

6.ObservetheInfoCentertoensurethatthe
batteriesarecharging.
Note:TheInfoCentershowsthebatterycharge
percentageandamperage.Batterieswitha
lowervoltagechargerst;oncetheyreach
thevoltageoftheotherbatteries,allbatteries
chargesimultaneously.Thefanmayturnon
whilethemachineischarging.
Whenchargingiscomplete,theInfoCenter
shutsoff.
