Starting Problems (continued)
Problem Possible Causes
Engine cranks, but does not start. Wiring to start circuits is loose, corroded or damaged
(see Electrical Schematic and Circuit Diagrams in
Chapter 9 -- Foldout Drawings).
Wiring to engine is is loose, corroded or damaged (see
Electrical Schematic and Circuit Diagrams in Chapter 9
-- Foldout Drawings).
Diode D1--A circuit is open.
Engine or fuel system is malfunctioning (see Chapter 3
-- Engine).
Kill relay (K1) is faulty.
Engine and fuel may be too cold.
Engine fuel solenoid is faulty.
Engine cranks (but should not) with the functional
control lever in the MOW or TRANSPORT position.
Neutral switch is out of adjustment, faulty or short
circuited.
