Thedecklift/lowerswitchisusedtoraiseandlowerthecuttingdeckonlater
machines.Theswitchislocatedonthecontrolpanel(Figure135).
Theenginemustberunningtoallowthecuttingdecktoberaisedorlowered.
Whenthefrontoftheliftswitchispressed,thedeckwilllowerfully.Whenthe
rearoftheliftswitchispressedandheld,thedeckwillraise.Whenraisingthe
deck,thedeckwillremaininpositioniftheswitchisreleased.
Whentherearofthelift/lowerswitchispressed,bothofthesolenoidvalvecoils
(SV1andSV2)onthehydraulicliftcontrolvalveareenergizedcausingthe
valvestoshiftandtheliftcylindertoextendtoraisethecuttingdeck.Whenthe
frontofthelift/lowerswitchispressed,solenoidvalvecoil(SV2)onthehydraulic
liftcontrolvalveisenergizedcausingthevalvetoshiftandtheliftcylinderto
retracttolowerthecuttingdeck.
TestingtheDeckLiftSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,andshutofftheengine.
2.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFpositionandthekeyisremoved
fromthekeyswitch.
3.Removethe4thumbscrews(item2inFigure135)thatsecurethecontrol
paneltothefueltank.
4.Locatethedeckliftswitchanddisconnectthewireharnessconnectorfrom
theswitch.
