DisassemblingtheWindshieldWiperAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removethe2screws(item13inFigure316)and2lockwashersthatsecure
thewiperbladetothewiperarmassembly,andremovethewiperblade.
3.Ifnecessary,removethewiperarmassemblyasfollows:
A.Disconnectthewasherhosefromthewiperassembly.
B.Liftthecapsatthetopofthewiperarmsandremovethe2angenuts
thatsecurethewiperarmstothewipermotor.
C.Useasuitablepullertoremovethetaperedwiperarmsocketsfromthe
wipermotorshafts.
4.Ifaccesstothewipermotorisnecessary,removetherooffromthetopof
thecabtogetaccesstothewipermotorassembly;refertoRemovingthe
RoofAssembly(page11–4).
5.RemovethewipermotorcomponentsasshowninFigure316.
