Bushings
Thecasterarmshavebushingspressedintothe
topandbottomofthetubeandaftermanyhoursof
operation,thebushingsdevelopwear.Tocheckthe
bushings,movethecasterforkbackandforthand
fromsidetoside.Ifthecasterspindleislooseinside
thebushings,thebushingsarewornandmustbe
replaced.
1.Raisethemowerdecksothewheelsareoffthe
oorandblockthemowerdecksoitcannotfall.
2.Removethetensioningcap,spacer(s),and
thrustwasherfromthetopofthecasterspindle.
3.Pullthecasterspindleoutofthemountingtube.
Note:Keepthethrustwasherandspacer(s)on
thebottomofthespindle.
4.Insertapinpunchintothetoporbottomofthe
mountingtubeanddrivethebushingoutofthe
tube(Figure110).
Note:Alsodrivetheotherbushingoutofthe
tube.Cleantheinsideofthetubestoremove
dirt.

1.Removethelocknutfromtheboltholdingthe
caster-wheelassemblybetweenthecasterfork
(Figure111)orthecaster-pivotarm(Figure112).
Note:Graspthecasterwheelandslidethebolt
outoftheforkorpivotarm.
