automaticallymovestoHIGHorLOWIDLE,depending
onwhichpartoftheswitchyoupressed.

OperatingCharacteristics

Practicedrivingthemachinebecauseithasa
hydrostatictransmissionanditscharacteristicsare
differentthanmanyturf-maintenancemachines.
WithToroSmartPower™,youdonotneedtolistento
theenginespeedinheavyconditions.SmartPower
preventsboggingdowninheavyturfbyautomatically
controllingthemachinespeedandoptimizingcutting
performance.
Youcanusethebrakestoassistinturningthe
machine,butusethemcarefully,especiallyonsoftor
wetgrassbecausetheycandamagetheturf.Youcan
alsousethebrakestomaintaintraction.Forexample,
insomeslopeconditions,theuphillwheelslipsand
losestraction.Ifthissituationoccurs,presstheuphill
turnpedalgraduallyandintermittentlyuntiltheuphill
wheelstopsslipping,thus,increasingtractiononthe
downhillwheel.
TractionAssistisnowautomaticandrequiresno
operatorinput.Whenawheelstartstoslip,owis
automaticallysplitbetweenthefrontandrearwheels
tominimizewheelslipandlossoftraction.
Useextracarewhenoperatingthemachineon
slopes.Ensurethattheseatlatchisproperlysecured
andthatyoubuckletheseatbelt.Driveslowlyand
avoidsharpturnsonslopestopreventrollovers.For
steeringcontrol,themowerdeckmustbelowered
whengoingdownhill.
Beforestoppingtheengine,disengageallcontrolsand
changethethrottletotheSLOWposition.Changing
thethrottletotheSLOWpositionreduceshighengine
speed,noise,andvibration.TurnthekeytotheOFF
positiontoshutofftheengine.
