Toensureproperoperationofthemowerdeck,there
mustbea10to16mm(0.38to0.62inch)clearance
betweenthetipsofthesideandcentermower-deck
blades(Figure27).
1.Raisemowerdecksothebladesarevisibleand
blockthecenterdecksectionsoitcannotfall
accidentally.
Note:Thewingdecksmustbehorizontaltothe
centermowerdeck.
2.Rotateacenterandadjoiningsidebladesothe
bladetipsarealigned.Measurethedistance
betweenthebladetips(Figure27).
Note:Thedistanceshouldbeapproximately10
to16mm(0.38to0.62inch)

2.Checkandadjusttheairpressureinthefront
andreartireofthemachineto172to207kPa
(25to30psi).
3.Checkandadjusttheairpressureinallofthe
castertiresforthemowerdeckto345kPa(50
psi).
4.Checkthechargeandcounterbalancepressures
withtheengineatHIGHIDLE,usinghydraulic-test
ports.
Note:Adjustthecounterbalanceto2241kPa
(325psi).
5.Checkforbentblades;refertoCheckingfora

6.Cutgrassinatestareatodetermineifallmower
decksarecuttingatthesameheight.
7.Ifmower-deckadjustmentsarestillneeded,
ndaatsurfaceusinga2m(6ft)oralonger
straightedge.
8.Toeasemeasuringthebladeplane,raisethe
height-of-cutto7.6to10.1cm(3to4inches);
refertoAdjustingtheHeightofCut(page26).
9.Lowerthemowerdecksontoaatsurfaceand
removethecoversfromthetopofthemower
decks.
10.Loosentheangenut,securingtheidlerpulley,
toreleasethebelttensiononeachmowerdeck.
