necessary.
5.Greaseoroilallgreasettingsandpivotpoints
andwipeupanyexcesslubricant;referto
Lubrication(page61).
6.Lightlysandandusetouch-uppaintonpainted
areasthatarescratched,chipped,orrusted,
andrepairanydentsinthemetalbody.
7.Servicethebatteryandcablesasfollows:
A.Removethebatteryterminalsfromthe
batteryposts.
B.Cleanthebattery,terminals,andpostswith
awirebrushandbaking-sodasolution.
C.Coatthecableterminalsandbatteryposts
withGrafo112Xskin-overgrease(T oroPart
No.505-47)orpetroleumjellytoprevent
corrosion.
D.Slowlychargethebatteryevery60days
for24hourstopreventleadsulfationofthe
battery.
PreparingtheEngine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandinstall
thedrainplug.
2.Removeandinstallanewoillter.
3.Fillenginewith10.4L(11USqt)ofSAE15W-40
CJ-4motoroil.
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfor
approximately2minutes.
5.Shutofftheengine.
6.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,cleanfuel.
7.Secureallofthefuel-systemttings.
8.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheair-cleaner
assembly.
9.Sealtheair-cleanerinletandtheexhaustoutlet
withweatherprooftape.
10.Checktheanti-freezeprotectionandadda
50/50solutionofwaterandethyleneglycol
anti-freezeasneededfortheexpectedminimum
temperatureinyourarea.
