Ifthedeectionisnot10mm(3/8inch),loosenthe
alternator-mountingbolts(Figure113).
Note:Increaseordecreasethealternator-belt
tensionandtightenthebolts.Checkthedeectionof
thebeltagaintoensurethatthetensioniscorrect.

loosentheidlerpulleymountingbolt(Figure
113).Increaseordecreasethecompressor
belttensionandtightenthebolt.Checkthe
deectionofthebeltagaintoensurethatthe
tensioniscorrect.

Every50hours
Whenproperlytensioned,theinsidemeasurement
oftheextensionspring(hooktohook)shouldbe
approximately8.3to9.5cm(3-1/4to3-3/4inches).
Oncethecorrectspringtensionisattained,adjustthe
stopbolt(carriagebolt)untilthereisapproximately2
to5mm(0.065to0.185inch)clearancebetweenthe
headoftheboltandtheidlerarm(Figure114).

sideofthebeltguide(Figure114).
