Thetractionpedalcontrolstheforwardandreverse
operation.Pressthetopofthepedaltomovethe
machineforwardandthebottomtomoveitbackward.
Groundspeeddependsonhowfaryoupressthe
pedal.Formaximumgroundspeed,fullypressthe
pedalwhilethethrottleisintheHIGHIDLEposition
(Figure11).
Tostopthemachine,reduceyourfootpressureon
thetractionpedalandallowittoreturntothecenter
position.
Parking-BrakeSwitch
Theparking-brakeswitchrequires2actionsto
engagethebrake.Whileholdingthesmalllatchback,
presstheparking-brakeswitchforwardtoengage
theparkingbrake.Presstheparking-brakeswitch
rearwardtodisengagetheparkingbrake(Figure11).
Hazard-LightSwitch
Pressthehazard-lightswitchforwardtoengagethe
hazardlightsandrearwardtodisengagethehazard
lights(Figure11).
Turn-SignalSwitch
Presstheleftsideoftheturn-signalswitchtoactivate
theleft-turnsignalandtherightsideoftheswitchto
activatetheright-turnsignal(Figure11).

KeySwitch
Thekeyswitchhas3positions:STOP,RUN/PREHEAT,
andSTART(Figure11).
PTOSwitch
ThePTOswitchhas2positions:OUT(start)and
IN(stop).PulloutthePTObuttontoengagethe
implementormower-deckblades.Pushinthebutton
todisengagetheimplementoperation(Figure11).
High-LowRange-SpeedSwitch
PressthefrontoftheswitchtoselectHIGH-SPEED
RANGE.Presstherearoftheswitchtoselect
LOW-SPEEDRANGE.Themachinemustbestationary
ortravelingatlessthan1.0km/h(0.6mph)toshift
betweenHIGHandLOW(Figure11).
Cruise-ControlSwitch
Thecruise-controlswitchsetsyourdesiredspeedof
themachine.
Movethecruise-controlswitchtothecenterposition
toturnthecruisecontroltotheONposition.Press
theswitchforwardtosetthespeed.Presstheswitch
rearwardtodisengagethecruisecontrol(Figure11).
Note:Footpedalmovementalsodisengagesthe
cruisecontrol.
Whenyouengagethecruisecontrol,youcanchange
thecruise-controlspeedusingtheInfoCentercontrol.
Deck-LiftSwitches
Thedeck-liftswitchesraiseandlowerthecuttingunits
(Figure11).
Presstheswitchesforwardtolowerthecuttingunit
andrearwardtoraisethecuttingunit.
Note:Thecuttingunitsdonotlowerwhilethe
machineisintheHIGH-speedrange,andthecutting
unitsdonotraiseorlowerifyouareoutoftheseat
whiletheengineisrunning.
Note:Thedeck-raisingfunctionislimitedatengine
speedsbelow2,000rpm.Only1deckraisesatatime
below2,000rpm.
